Our Story

I got Frank to be a duck dog — but he ended up being a whole lot more.

He was the first dog (and only) I ever trained, and from day one, he went everywhere with me. Early mornings in flooded timber, long days fishing, farm work, lazy afternoons on the water, or just riding into town for errands — if I was there, Frank was there too.

Over the years, my wife and I started our family, and Frank just folded right in. He’s gentle with the kids, loyal to the core, and still ready to jump in the truck whenever it’s time to head outside. He’s the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog that changes how you see things.

That’s really how Chocolate Lab Company came to be. I wanted shirts that felt as good as the life I was living — simple, honest, and built around time outside with good company. What started as a few designs inspired by Frank and the places we love has grown into a small brand that celebrates those moments: field, water, and porch.

We’re not trying to be fancy. We just make good-looking, good-feeling shirts that mean something — to me, to Frank, and hopefully to anyone else who knows what it’s like to share the outdoors with their best friend.
